Amber necklaces production

Before buying any amber necklace it is probably interesting to know how it was created and produced. Our amber necklaces are produced from the Baltic amber we have collected in the beach of the Baltic Sea (in Eastern Europe). The amber was collected after storms by lots of people. Bigger pieces were brought to our jewelry studio. In the first place we select the quality amber pieces. Only specific color and cleanness of amber can be used for the beads, therefore we carefully select all the small pieces of amber.

Once the amber is selected into few piles by its color, the hard part begins. We need to polish every piece in order to make it suitable for wearing on bare skin. The polishing is done using special polishing tools cooled with water. No chemicals are used in polishing procedure as amber necklaces are considered anti-allergic treatment.

When the polishing is done we select the beads into different piles by the size. We have already prepared the material for the beads, therefore now the main work is making holes. The holes are drilled using the special small drill. Amber is hard as a stone, therefore we use diamond drills which are used in sculpturing and jewelry. No chemicals are used in drilling procedure.

Once we have prepared enough beads, we take a natural rope and tie them to an amber necklace. We tie a knot after every bead, so if the necklace is torn the beads remain in their places instead of rolling all around. We do this way because we know how children love taking everything to their mouths.

The amber necklace is ready, but now we need to make it needed size. We offer a few sizes for different necks. The string is connected using a special buckle which is also made of natural materials. The necklace is ready, but that’s not all. We put into a linen sack, so the gift looks original. Now we are ready to take an order from you and ship it to any country in the World.
